Today, 76 young Harpswell students in Cambodia are pursuing their higher education, living in Harpswell’s residential leadership centers in Phnom Penh. Many are the first in their families to attend college.

Your gift covers Harpswell students’ essential room and board needs. This includes comfortable housing, nutritious meals, access to dependable healthcare during emergencies, and more. This is an investment in leaders who will shape the future of Cambodia.

As part of the Leadership Council launch we are fundraising so as to help Cambodian women leaders focus on what matters most: their education. Together, we're ensuring that 76 talented women in Cambodia can focus on their education and develop their roles as the country’s next generation of civic leaders.

We are deeply grateful for gifts of all sizes. Every contribution moves us closer to our $20,000 goal:

$950 covers one student's access to safe housing for one year, including dorm security, comfortable beds and clean drinking water
$500 provides a mini-grant for a student to pursue civic engagement projects
$120 supports one student’s participation in the English language program
$100 covers one student's access to emergency medical support
$60 ensures one student has nutritious meals each month

“I had the opportunity to visit with Harpswell students...Each girl spoke about her educational goals. I was struck by their sharp focus on preparing themselves to be Cambodia’s next generation of leaders in law, biochemistry and engineering.

These aren’t pie-in-the-sky gals. They are well aware of the challenges that lie ahead in rebuilding their country, especially as women.

Most of all it was inspiring to see young people who are so passionate about learning!”
