Leadership Council: Steering Committee Members

March 8, 2026 - Harpswell is thrilled to introduce the newly formed Leadership Council and its Steering Committee for 2026, supported by Basye Peek, Harpswell's International Program Manager.

The Harpswell Leadership Council connects global professionals united by a commitment to advance Harpswell's mission through women's education and leadership development in Southeast Asia. The Leadership Council brings together new and familiar faces who' will leverage their networks, expertise, and resources to generate support and build a robust international and regional network for Harpswell.

Meet our Steering Committee:

Elise Bronzo • Council Chair • Leadership Resident - 2012

Elise's decade-long career embodies the art of building meaningful connections across cultures and continents. At Indagare, she has crafted customer acquisition and engagement strategies that create exclusive access and transformative experiences for discerning travelers. Her insatiable curiosity—reflected in her passion for indigenous religions, artisan crafts and wellness traditions—drives her approach to leadership. As Council Chair, Elise brings her proven ability to cultivate high-level relationships and create spaces where diverse communities thrive.

Sara Ngan • Administration Chair • Design & Real Estate Development Professional

Sara founded Fenix Design Consultants with a clear vision: when development teams and design teams collaborate fully, projects reach extraordinary heights. Her leadership of a $1.5B portfolio at Alpine Residential demonstrated her capacity to manage complexity at scale while maintaining focus on excellence. Sara's commitment to expanding opportunities extends beyond her professional work—through the Advisory Board of AIANY's Women in Architecture Committee, she actively mentors young women and persons of color, opening pathways in architecture and construction. Her recognition as a 2020 40 Under 40 Outstanding Woman in Construction reflects her impact as both builder and bridge-maker.

Menghun Kaing • Volunteer Program Chair • Cambodian Women's Leadership - 2011

Menghun's career demonstrates what's possible when vision meets opportunity. From journalist at the Cambodia Daily to 2025 McCain Global Leader, she has consistently leveraged technology and policy to create pathways for economic advancement. At the Asia Foundation, she designed and launched TEK4Good, a business incubation program that transformed aspiring entrepreneurs into startup founders. Her strategic leadership at Internews shaped programs across Cambodia, India, and Thailand. Now, as a public policy professional published in the Washington Post and The Diplomat, Menghun brings her deep understanding of the region and her commitment to educational access back to the community that supported her journey.

Sara Rolén • Events Chair • Leadership Resident - 2017

Sara's professional journey across five cities—Phnom Penh, Stockholm, Copenhagen, London and Tokyo—has given her exceptional skills in building bridges across cultures and industries. At Visa, she applies her expertise in innovation and business development to the global payments ecosystems. Her prior experience supporting ambitious entrepreneurs and ventures in their international expansion has equipped her with the skills to create platforms for visibility and support. Sara's foundation in collaborative, multicultural environments positions her to design events that connect, inspire, and catalyze action for Harpswell's growing global community.

Kanitha Heng Snow • Communications Chair • Leadership Resident - 2010

Kanitha is dedicated to building communities and elevating voices through strategic communications and program development, with a focus on organizations driving social impact. She partners with people of color and women-centered nonprofits at the regional, national and international levels to craft narratives that inspire action and support. As director of the annual Colgate Writers Conference, Kanitha creates space for writers to develop their craft and further their creative journeys. A storyteller at heart, she holds an MFA from Columbia University and is currently completing a memoir of reincarnation and her first feature film, which explores intergenerational women's experiences and takes place in Cambodia. Kanitha is committed to giving back to Cambodia and supporting the next generation of women leaders.
