Harpswell Stands in Solidarity

June 8, 2020: The Harpswell Foundation stands in solidarity with the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and the all too many others who have lost their lives due to systemic racism in the United States and around the world. The time to end hate crimes, senseless loss of life and to reform our law enforcement system is now. Harpswell stands for social justice in all its forms, including human rights, gender equity and economic empowerment. In recognition of these values, the Board of Trustees has made contributions to support the work of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. We are supporting these groups because of their longstanding commitment and constructive work to protect civil and human rights and achieve racial justice and economic equality.
