Harpswell Alumna Receives Obama Foundation Scholarship

October 7, 2019: We are proud to share that Harpswell alumna Menghun Kaing is pursuing a master's degree at the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy as an Obama Scholar. At the University of Chicago, Menghun aims to deepen her knowledge in the areas of economic development and women's economic empowerment.

Menghun served as a senior program officer at the Asia Foundation prior to her graduate studies. She is a recipient of the Asia Foundation’s 2017 Presidential Award for Exceptional Performance. She began her career as an English-language journalist in Cambodia after graduating from the Royal University of Phnom Penh.
