Harpswell Welcomes Jacyl Shaw as Executive Director

March 27, 2024: The Harpswell Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacyl Shaw as Harpswell’s Executive Director.

Jacyl brings a diverse background traversing the nonprofit and for profit worlds alongside a strong desire to amplify and empower emerging women leaders to the position. She is a lawyer by training but has spent many years in leadership roles at the University of Melbourne (Australia) and at GHD, a private global engineering firm, where she was Global Director of Innovation. Most recently, Jacyl has served as Head of Strategy & Business Development for the Menzies Foundation, an apolitical non-profit that aspires to raise the profile and importance of “outstanding” leadership. Harpswell is deeply grateful to Board member Alison Pavia, Executive Director Emerita and Interim, for stepping in to lead the Harpswell team so gracefully over the last eight months. Her steady commitment to Harpswell’s vision is a true gift to this community. Alison will remain an active member of the Harpswell Board of Trustees, serving as chair of the Development Committee, and will stay involved as a trainer and co-founder of the ASEAN Women’s Leadership Summit.
